The umbrella is carried around in stick form and is then inflated into a mini personal cloud, using the pump within the stick handle structure, when the rain comes.
There's speculation that it doesn't work so good as an umbrella though as the rain just runs down the seams and onto your head anyway, which looks like it would be true, but still... it looks cool. I guess the concept is to sort of fight fire with fire, or, cloud with cloud!
